Take a dog-friendly ferry from Dunquin Pier to Great Blasket Island, the westernmost point in Europe. Marvel at the island's unspoiled beauty and diverse wildlife, including puffins and grey seals.
You will need to pack a lunch, water, insect repellent, and light rain gear, and note that there are no toilets on the island.
Medium and small dogs are welcome as the final part of the journey, you will need to get transported on an 8-person rib, and larger dogs cannot be accommodated. Please also keep dogs on a leash while on the island to avoid disturbing the local wildlife.
