This dog-friendly cottage in Cornwall can accommodate four people including an infant and a medium-sized dog, making it ideal for a family vacation to the coast. It is a two-bedroom, first-floor apartment in the Barnoon neighbourhood of Tate Reach, provides fantastic views of St Ives.

This apartment on the first floor of this Victorian house has been lovingly rebuilt in line with its original characteristics, including cast iron vintage radiators, soaring ceilings, a Victorian feature fireplace, and a picture bay window. The bright and wide open-plan sitting and dining area, which is bathed in natural light and adorned with wonderful historical pieces, gives a breathtaking view of St Ives; relax and take in the scenery, or watch TV on the Smart TV with DVD player and Sky.

A medieval dining table with seating for four has been carefully positioned within the living area bay window, offering visitors a wonderful view while dining, and the table can also be unfolded just for two for a romantic meal. The contemporary kitchen is well-equipped for your vacation, with oak cabinets, sleek black granite effect worktops, and a washer/dryer; for dining alfresco, it's perfectly placed near the back patio, which can be accessible by French doors that open out onto the far-reaching vistas.

There are two sea view bedrooms, one king-size and the other twin, both with en-suite bathrooms and plenty of storage. Clean up in the family bathroom, which has a lovely P-shaped whirlpool bath and a huge bay window with views of the island and out to sea.

Take your dog along the South West Coast Path to Porthkidney Beach, which is pet-friendly all year and offers a beautiful expanse of golden sand. Taking the scenic railway back to your accommodation is a fantastic option; it is not only relaxing, but also thrilling, as it connects the surrounding area, passing through beaches and affording panoramic views of the sea.
