12 Dog-Friendly Glamping Sites in Ireland (2021)

Last Updated: August 23, 2023

They are called “Man’s Best Friend” for a reason (..Although we all know they love their moms more). Does the idea of going on a holiday this summer and leaving your best friend behind send a shiver down your back?

Why not treat yourself and your dog to an outdoor adventure (and your family too, if they insist on tagging along)?

If you are not quite ready to give up flushing toilets just yet… good news, we have been on the hunt for Dog-Friendly Glamp Sites across Ireland so that there will be No Paws Left Behind on your Staycation this summer.

Although the word ‘Glamping’ was only coined in 2005, glamorous camping has been around since at least the 16th Century, when Henry VIII and Francis I held a diplomatic summit known as the Field of the Cloth of Gold, which, as well as 2,800 lavishly decorated tents, included fountains that ran with red wine!!! ….Sign me up!

Although none of the Glamping Sites we spoke to listed red wine fountain as an amenity, they all have an array of home comforts that will please even the most reluctant camper, and best of all, they are all dog-friendly!

Here are some of the best dog-friendly glamping staycation destinations for pet parents in Ireland.
