Fiddle + Bow has a collection of 7 luxury dog-friendly cottages and lodges, all of which are within walking distance to The Burren and Cliffs of Moher Geopark.  Each detached cottage can sleep between 4 to 11 humans and will give a big warm welcome to your furry friend.

This 5-star resort is a great place for the whole family to spend a relaxing holiday. With dog-friendly accommodation options available, you can choose to stay in either the luxury hotel, a restored 17th-century country house, or in their dog-friendly guest house, The Orchard Residences. The resort is nestled on 220 acres of grounds within East Cork's woodlands and sits adjacent to the ruins of an 800-year-old-castle. The hotel also offers a Pet Concierge service where their friendly staff will go over all details on local dog sitters, walkers, groomers, and veterinarians. 

Day Trip Idea - Make the short 20-minute drive down to Ballycotton and enjoy the 7km walk (one way) along the stunning cliffs. It is best for all dogs to stay on a lead.

  • Additional Fee - Hotel: €50 for 1st night will be charged and €20 for any other additional night. Self-Catering Apartments: €20 per night for the length of the stay
  • Dog Limit - 2 small dogs or 1 large dog is allowed per room

The outdoor terrace of The Canopy Bar is also available for light lunch with pets and for drinks service only after 17:00. There are no indoor dining options available.
  • Dog-Friendly Main Hotel Room Options - The only rooms where pets are permitted are the Garden Deluxe Rooms. 
  • Dog-Friendly Self-Catering Apartment Room Options - The only pet-friendly apartments are the Orchard Residences.

Co. Dublin



Located only a short stroll from Kilmainham Gaol and right on the edge of Dublin city centre, this hotel is perfect for pet-friendly exploring in Dublin. All pups are welcome with open arms and dog lovers can rest assured that their favorite pooch will be spoiled and fussed over. There is no need to use the fitness center as Phoenix Park is only a 15-minute walk away. Day Trip Idea - Take the hour drive up into the Wicklow mountains to Glendalough and explore the country trials, sniff around the water's edge of Glendalough Upper Lake and check out the Poulanass waterfall. There are dog-friendly cafés around but pet owners must keep their pups on a lead at all times due to the nearby wildlife.

The first pet-friendly hotel in Dublin, Hilton Dublin has a whole floor giving a warm Irish welcome to our four-legged friends. Overlooking the historic Grand Canal, this 4-star hotel is only a 15-minute walk from St. Stephen's Green where you can walk your pup (while on the lead). Located on the green LUAS line (where dogs are allowed as long as they are in an enclosed pet carrier), you can easily hop on and take a day trip down to Howth. Recognized as Ireland's most dog-friendly hotel, it is important to book your stay far in advance as there are a limited number of dog-friendly rooms available. The hotel rolls out the red carpet for our canine companions and offers them nothing short of 5-star service. A short walk from the hotel, there are parks to walk in, bogs to explore and an ocean to swim in - a doggie paradise.

Day Trip Idea - Take a drive along The Wild Atlantic Way and head up to Kylemore Abbey where dogs are welcome as long as they are on a lead. 

  • Additional Fee - None, dogs stay FREE! However, there is a deposit of €50 per night for our pet-friendly suites which is refundable.
  • Dog Limit - 1 dog is allowed per room
  • Size Restrictions - There is a height restriction of 30"
  • Breed Restrictions - Restricted breeds are not allowed
  • Additional Amenities - A welcome bag with a dog toy, snack, clean-up bags, and information on dog walks are provided. Dog beds are also provided in the pet-friendly room. For a special treat order something for your furry friend off of their special doggy menu.
  • Leashed - Dogs must be on a lead at all time
  • Dining Options - Indoor seating at The Pins Gastro-Bar for breakfast, dinner, and drinks. Doggy meals are available.
  • Additional Information - You must have an up-to-date health certificate for your pet from the vet.

The Ardilaun Hotel - (Galway, Co. Galway) - Check Availability Here

A 4-star, family-run hotel located in the bohemian city of Galway. The hotel boasts all the modern amenities you expect, from a leisure centre, to an indoor pool and children's pool, it is an ideal family-friendly hotel. Their pet-friendly rooms are on the ground floor with a small patio that has easy access to the gardens.

Day Trip Idea - Load up the car and enjoy a day at Dog's Bay beach; a white sand, horseshoe-shaped bay perfect for swimming and doggie paddling. Always remember to be respectful of others and make sure to wipe down any sandy paws before returning to the hotel.

  • Additional Fee - €20 per night per dog 
  • Dog Limit - 3 small dogs or 1 big dog would be allowed to stay in the room

Treat your VIP (Very Important Pet) to a holiday of pampering and relaxing, The Muckross Park Hotel and Spa offers 2 dog-friendly apartments and they are ready to help you indulge your canine companion to the same level of 5-star service you would expect for yourself. Located within Killarney's National Park, the self-catering apartments are the ideal base for exploring the 25,000 acres of the pristine park. 

Day Trip Idea: Experience the majestic drive around The Ring of Kerry. Just make sure you check that you have good weather before heading out, when we did the drive we were met with heavy fog, not being able to see more than 2 metres in front of the car, let alone the view! 

  • Additional Fee - €30 additional fee for the first night and a €10 charge for subsequent nights.

  • Size Restrictions - Small and medium dogs only, with a maximum size of a standard Poodle.

Located just outside of Limerick City, this 4-star hotel has all of the amenities to pamper yourself and your pup. Enjoy your stay with a swim in the heated, 20-meter indoor swimming pool, or take a long walk around the leafy University of Limerick campus, located adjacent to the hotel.

Day Trip Idea: Enjoy an hour-long dog-friendly boat cruise of the River Shannon and Lough Derg with Killaloe River Cruises.

Co. Mayo
